As the first day of school approaches, Monte Alto Transportation Department wants to remind our community about school bus safety.
When a school bus stops and extends its stop sign, ALL drivers must stop, whether you’re behind the bus or coming from the opposite direction (unless you’re on a divided highway). This allows our students to safely get on or off the bus.
✅ Slow down in school zones.
✅ Stay alert for children crossing the street.
✅ Never pass a bus with flashing red lights.

✅ Noise makers (like clappers or air horns) are welcome!
We are borrowing the high school gym, which will also host other events and our student dance later that evening. Let’s work together to keep the space clean and ready for everyone.
