Monte Alto ISD is proud to recognize Ms. Patricia Garza, U.S. History Teacher at Monte Alto Early College High School, whose leadership and expertise are making an impact not only in our district, but across Texas and the nation!

This summer, Ms. Garza was selected to participate in Texas Education Agency (TEA) educator review committee meetings. She represented Monte Alto ISD during the SST Social Studies – U.S. History Range PLD Meetings. During this important work, educators provided feedback that supports the development of high-quality state assessments. Her contributions will help impact students across Texas!

And her leadership extends far beyond our state!

Ms. Garza's professional accomplishments include:

Retro Report Teacher Ambassador — serving since Summer 2024 as part of a national network of educators who advocate for high-quality classroom resources and provide valuable feedback from the teacher perspective.

iCivics Educator Network Member — serving since 2021 alongside civics, history, government, and social studies educators from across the country who champion high-quality civic education.

The National WWII Museum Educator Advisory Council — selected to serve on the Teaching and Learning Team's council for 2026–2028.

Street Law 2026 Teacher Amicus Group — selected to provide input and feedback to help ensure curricular materials and programs meet the needs of teachers and students.

National Constitution Center Teacher Advisory Committee — served from Fall 2024 through Summer 2026, contributing her educator perspective to the organization's work.
